New Start

Well just when you thought it couldn't get worse it does. Still there is always a silver lining if you look hard enough. I have left Roedean now and after a short holiday wondering weather I was rubbish or not a wonderful job drops into my lap.
I'm not sure what they have hired me for but I am going to give them value for money so they will keep me. I am in a small very small kitchen helping to keep the peace and hopefully keep every one togeather. They are a great group of people and I look forward to 6 yrs of productive work.

My auntie Edie

My Auntie was the landlady of what I would call a famous east end pub called the Spread eagle. It was a great place in the 60's for a child. It had a snug bar for the lady's and a rough bar for the working men to come in their working cloths and an off licence where if you were good you could help serve people with their bits and bobs.

All the pop bottles had money back and I remember one evening , one of the milky bar kids coming in to be served whoooo I served the Milky bar Kid.

A number of villains including the famous brothers were active around the area and another pub called the Blind Beggar which only had one bar and one exit so you didn't want to piss any one off because you wouldn't get out.

One jack the lad known as George used to pick me up and put me on the table to throw darts at the board to the great joy of everyone in there.

One day there was an enormous fight in the bar just because one old man did not want to have a drink with George. He stood at the bar counting out money to my auntie for the damage saying sorry.
